The bike now also comes in new colors and features to make it more visually appealing and improve the overall ownership experience. Styling & Quality

The design of the 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 hasn't changed much and still has a retro look that was first introduced five years ago. The headlight is round, the instrument cluster has two parts one digital and one analog. However, some changes have been made to give a more modern look to this classic-style motorcycle. 

The headlight now uses LED technology and has a Royal Enfield logo in the middle. The switchgear has a rotary style, similar to other Royal Enfield models like the Super Meteor 650. However, the Interceptor 650 does not have the aluminum finish on the switchgear, so it doesn't look as high-end as the cruiser motorcycle.

Performance & Handling

The Royal Enfield 650 range has a powerful 648cc engine that is smooth and easy to ride. It has a lot of torque, making acceleration effortless. You can reach 100kmph at just 4,000rpm and 120kmph at 5,000rpm. It's important to keep the engine above 2,500 rpm to avoid any issues.

The clutch system and gearbox are efficient and make gear changes smooth. The seat height of 804mm is good for all types of riders and the motorcycle can turn easily in tight spaces, which helps to navigate in traffic. It is a bit heavy at 213kg, making parking a bit challenging, but still manageable once you get used to it.

Features & Technology

Most buyers may be unhappy with this part of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. It doesn't have a gear position indicator, digital clock, distance to the empty readout, average fuel economy indicator, or Tripper navigation system. This can be inconvenient while riding the motorcycle.

The twin-pod instrument cluster has a speedometer and tachometer, while the digital display shows the odometer and trip meters. The LED headlight is just okay. The dual-channel ABS and USB charger are helpful features, but there aren't many other standout features.
